Hello, I’m Melanie, also known as “Mel,” and I’m the proud owner of Braids By Mel. My love for hair braiding began at the age of 10 and has been a big part of my life ever since. After years of braiding my own hair and receiving positive feedback from friends, I decided to turn my passion into a business.
I offer a variety of services including braids, faux locs, cornrows, twists, and more. From the start, I’ve been deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from my clients. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my queens leave with a smile after enjoying their experience.
I also work with all hair types, so everyone is welcome to enjoy the care and attention I put into every style.

To ensure the best service and manage my schedule effectively, I take appointments by reservation only, and a deposit is required to secure your booking.
Without a deposit, I cannot guarantee your spot and may need to offer the slot to another client.
Please note that I work exclusively with pre-stretched extensions, preferably X-pression, and can provide hair extensions upon request.
